This video clip of Brad Pitt, John Malkovich, and Tilda Swinton on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival shows the level of pandemonium one man can create when he’s an enormous star. Both John and Tilda got very excited welcomes with people calling their names in hopes of autographs and photo ops. They were also both very gracious.
However, when it’s Brad Pitt’s turn to hit the autograph line it becomes insane with an incredible level of screaming and freaking out. Brad, too, is extremely gracious in the video, waving to fans, happily signing autographs, and smiling for cameras.
My two favorite parts of the red carpet video?
1. Tilda Swinton smiling and apologetically joking, “I’m sorry I’m not Brad!”
2. The girl in the crowd who yells out, “I don’t even care if I fall over right now!” after seeing Brad Pitt. Cute!
Thank you to Ligaya for the heads’ up. She also informed me that the word in Toronto was that you needed to be there at least 4-5 hours ahead of time if you wanted to have even half a chance of getting an autograph!
There is also a Flickr Group with tons of photos of Brad Pitt and other stars at the Toronto International Film Festival, so be sure to go check them out!

Entertainment Tonight managed to snag a quick moment for some video footage with Brad Pitt on the red carpet in Toronto before he had to dash off. Check it out!
That’s the combination of a father and an eternal optimist - “Sleep is something we long for, but that’s alright, we’ll get it soon.”

Brad Pitt wasted no time once he arrived in Toronto, Canada for the Toronto International Film Festival. On Friday night, he was out on the red carpet and looking darn good! I know there’s debate among fans as to his best look, but I love the semi-scruffy style with his tousled hair and his goatee. It works for him - and Brad looks hot out on the red carpet!
As always, we all miss seeing Angelina Jolie on the red carpet. However, it’s good to know she’s having a nice long break from the entertainment world and plenty of time with her kids at home in France. I think what makes me laugh the most is that the tabloids are all writing about how there’s something wrong with her or with the babies, but these are the same people who would be yelling, “Hey, I thought she was taking a break, why isn’t she at home with her children, blablabla?!” The poor tabloid writers, they must lead such incredibly boring lives to have to make up one wild story after another!
Check out more photos of Brad Pitt on the TIFF red carpet right here!
Apparently there was pandemonium on the red carpet when Brad Pitt arrived - that’s not a surprise for us, is it? He signed some autographs and was as gracious as always with his fans.

Oh be still my heart. Brad Pitt has jetted off from France to Canada and will soon be a mere five hours of driving away from me when he arrives in Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival. If only I could go and give you all a first-hand red carpet report!
He’ll have a chance to do more promo work for Burn After Reading and walk the red carpet. Unfortunately, Angelina Jolie won’t be with Brad at TIFF but as much as I miss her, at least Brad is still nice to look at - even if he’s just with George Clooney instead!
Check out the photos of Brad Pitt leaving France for Toronto over here.

I know how we all feel about some of the stories that come out of US Weekly magazine. But I also know how I happen to feel about Brad Pitt and George Clooney. I laughed the first time I heard someone refer to their friendship as a “bromance”.
So when I saw that US Weekly had done a photo spread of the Brad Pitt & George Clooney “Bromance” I had no choice but to share it with you.
Check it out here. Enjoy!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie frequently make lists about star power or beautiful appearances. However, Vanity Fair has released their Top 100 Power List. The power list is about more than just being a pretty face, having a keen fashion sense, or even talent.
According to Vanity Fair:
The Vanity Fair 100 represents a global, movable band of thinkers, owners, creators, and buyers who are the tastemakers, trendsetters, opinion formers and agenda creators in the worlds of politics, entertainment, media, business, technology, and fashion. Entry into the ranks of the V.F. 100 is based on a number of factors: wealth and influence, as well as such intangibles as vision, philanthropy, and the x factor.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ranked in at 9th place on the Vanity Fair 100. The pair were a joint entry rather than two separate entries, which is a bit weird, but the important thing is that people are noticing that the Jolie-Pitt union is way more than a red carpet couple. They were listed as both actors and activists. It’s their first time on the list, so to be placed in the top ten is impressive.
The top ten people on the Vanity Fair 100 are as follows (with their 2007 ranking in parentheses):
1. Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister (new entry)
2. Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. (1)
3. Sergey Brin (3), Larry Page (3), and Eric Schmidt (new entry), Google
4. Steve Jobs, Apple, Disney, and Pixar (2)
5. Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway (5)
6. Jeff Bezos, Amazon (23)
7. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai (new entry)
8. Roman Abramovich, Millhouse Capital (30)
9. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt, actors, activists (new entry)
10. Al Gore, eco-warrior (19)
You can see the full list here.
Way to go, Brad and Angelina!

Brad Pitt and Zahara Jolie-Pitt were spotted in Cannes at the Cannes airport today. Brad appeared to be in a great mood, giving a cheerful thumbs’ up to the cameras.
No word yet on what the outing was all about, but either way, it’s great to see that after Maddox and Pax got to go to Venice with their dad, now it’s Zahara’s turn for some Dad Time.
Toronto International Film Festival is coming up soon - who’s excited?!

Only slightly off-topic this morning - as of the moment that I’m currently typing this, Hurricane Gustav is right on Louisiana’s doorstep. Brad Pitt’s Make It Right has been working hard to construct new homes for those in New Orleans who were left with nothing after Katrina just over three years ago.
If you pray, please do so for New Orleans and everyone else in Gustav’s path. If praying isn’t your thing, please think good thoughts. They’ve been through enough.
Let’s hope the new homes really can withstand the hurricane.

I don’t know how reliable this source is, but according to the Berlin AFP, Angelina Jolie would like to work on a European film, possibly even a French film with a French-speaking role.
It wouldn’t be for several years, though. According to the article, Angelina would prefer to wait until she feels she can “really speak it” before trying out for a role.
The article also mentioned that although she acts in movies, Angelina rarely watches movies herself because she doesn’t like to just sit down for two hours. She said that Brad Pitt is the big movie buff and when they try to watch something together she often either falls asleep or ends up having to pause the movie to run off to help the kids out with something.
I’d love to see Angelina Jolie in a French movie!
Update: It was also confirmed by People.

With Angelina Jolie at home with Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt back in France, it was only a whirlwind visit when Brad Pitt was spotted leaving Venice with Maddox and Pax. They were cruising out on a water taxi to head out when photographers spotted them.
He might have only been in town a short time, but Brad made the most of it. Apparently his charity dinner that he co-hosted with George Clooney for Not On Our Watch was quite the hit. And I was wrong too - I guess the duo managed to look wide awake and refreshed for their Wednesday morning photocall on precious little sleep after all. According to People, the party was a roaring success with 200 VIPs in attendance, and both Brad and George had a late night:
“We’ve had a lot to drink,” said a jacketless Pitt, 44, laughing and raising his champagne glass. A tan and trim-looking Clooney, 44, had his shirt unbuttoned.
George Clooney turned in at a little after 2 a.m., while Brad chatted it up until 3 before turning in.
Meanwhile, Burn After Reading is getting some mixed reviews from the critics, although the general word seems to be that Brad does a great job in his role. I’m not surprised by the mixed reviews, to be honest. While I know that I’m probably going to enjoy the movie, that’s because I know that I’ve liked Coen brothers’ movies in the past. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea and it’s not the first time they’ve gotten thumbs up and thumbs down in the same article.
I’m sure Brad and Angelina were happy to be back together at home in France; it was only a few days, and they’ve done it before (such as when Angelina was in Prague and Brad had to fly out to Montreal for a couple of days to film something for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), but they make such an effort to not be separated from each other or the kids that a few days is likely plenty long enough for the Jolie-Pitt family.
(Have you entered the mega-Burn After Reading contest yet?!)
